"Tell Me No"

On Tuesday, the new @screamales album came out, and it is unsurprisingly kickass. Here is “Tell Me No”. Enjoy.

Nick Lowe

"So It Goes"

This is one of my favorite songs, one of many that came up last night in conversation with @gracewitheface. Enjoy, one and all.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

"The Power Of Equality"

Blood Sugar Sex Magik turned 20 a couple of months ago. While it holds up as a very good record, a lot of the songs don’t hold up well over time - even some of the singles. In listening to it the other day, I counted four songs that are indelible from the album - “I Could Have Lied”, “The Righteous & The Wicked”, “My Lovely Man”, and especially this, the album-opening “Power of Equality”. Enjoy

The Jimi Hendrix Experience

"One Rainy Wish"

Obligatory song that is tangentially related to the weather.

Fleetwood Mac

"Dreams"

Fleetwood Mac were so on point between 75 and 79. Rumours-Fleetwood Mac-Tusk is one of the strongest three-album runs that I can think of.

Apollo Sunshine

"Today Is The Day"

Not enough people know about Apollo Sunshine. Hopefully this helps. Enjoy!

Cover Tuesday! Stevie Ray Vaughan - Little Wing [Blues/Rock]

Jimi Hendrix’s “Little Wing” is one of the most beautiful songs of the last 50 years. Here, SRV strips it of its vocals, plays well past the 2:26 mark where Hendrix’s solo fades out, and in so doing turns an astounding, though brief piece of music into something grand and elegant, while retaining the sincere emotion of the original. Breathtaking.

Aerosmith

"Rats In The Cellar"

Aerosmith was fucking unstoppable in the 70s.
