To put it simply, music moves people. This blog is a collection of songs to move to, in some fashion or another. Whether it's physical - running, dancing, driving or what have you - or mental, music plays a tremendous role in many peoples' day to day lives. Some of these songs you'll probably have heard. Others will be completely new to you. Others still may be rediscoveries. My hope is to bring you a song each day that is not only enjoyable to listen to, but may also make your day just a little better.

On Tuesday, the new @screamales album came out, and it is unsurprisingly kickass. Here is “Tell Me No”. Enjoy.

The world lost one of its premiere songwriters 9 years ago today, when Joe Strummer tragically passed away from an undiagnosed heart defect. Hope you guys spend some of your day listening to The Clash, or The Mescaleros.

Social Distortion - Don’t Drag Me Down [Punk]
I completely forgot how much I love this song. A lot of people who don’t know more than a few Social D songs give them some flak because their singles are… well, not very punk. Make no mistake though, they can hold their own just fine.

Elvis Costello - I’m Not Angry [Punk / New Wave]
If I could meet any musician, living or dead, I’m pretty sure Elvis Costello would be my choice.

The Replacements - Kids Don’t Follow [Punk]
There is never a bad time to listen to The Replacements.
Titus Andronicus - No Future Part Three: Escape from No Future [Punk]
Watch this video. Then watch it again. And again. And so on.
Cover Tuesday, Late Edition
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Sheena is a Punk Rocker [Punk]
From the War Child Presents: Heroes album (which will be featured prominently in at least one more Cover Tuesday), we get YYYs covering The Ramones. It feels… right.
Dropkick Murphys - Time to Go [Punk]
“Old-time hockey, bar the door
Clear the track it’s all-out war
Light the lamp, throw a hit
Black and gold never quit
I think this is pretty self-explanatory!
The Misfits - Angelfuck [Punk]
Static Age is a good quick foray into The Misfits, and this is my favorite track from it. I don’t really have much else for you today.
