To put it simply, music moves people. This blog is a collection of songs to move to, in some fashion or another. Whether it's physical - running, dancing, driving or what have you - or mental, music plays a tremendous role in many peoples' day to day lives. Some of these songs you'll probably have heard. Others will be completely new to you. Others still may be rediscoveries. My hope is to bring you a song each day that is not only enjoyable to listen to, but may also make your day just a little better.

On Tuesday, the new @screamales album came out, and it is unsurprisingly kickass. Here is “Tell Me No”. Enjoy.

For Converse, Gorillaz got together with Andre3000 and James Murphy, late of LCD Soundsystem to create a track. It came out today, and it’s pretty good.
Then Andre comes on and it’s great. Can we have his solo album now? And then a new OutKast album?

Mark Lanegan’s new album Blues Funeral is a gem. Front-runner for my album of the year, though it’s only 7 weeks into 2012. This is the album-opener, “The Gravedigger’s Song”.

It took me a while to get around to it, but Feist’s most recent album, Metals, is her best yet, and by a pretty wide margin, I think. “How Come You Never Go There” is one of a handful of gems.

undun is so goddamned good.

Another choice cut from Watch the Throne. Jay-Z hasn’t sounded this sharp since The Black Album. Good god.

Watch the Throne is out and it is pretty fantastic (so far - I’m not even all the way through it yet). This track is just filthy good.
Childish Gambino premiered this new song, from his forthcoming album Camp at the House of Blues in San Diego during ComiCon weekend. It’s pretty boss. I don’t think the title is known, though.

Watch The Throne comes out in two weeks. I thought “H.A.M.” was pretty lackluster, considering the genius that Jay-Z and Kanye are capable of. This seems way more on point. They sound like they’re really having fun, which is a great sign.
